Keenan Austin Reed is a nationally recognized public policy and government affairs leader, serving as Managing Principal & Chief Executive Officer of the Alpine Group, a top 20 bipartisan lobbying firm in Washington, D.C. Keenan made history by becoming one of the first Black professionals to lead a lobbying firm of this stature, bringing a wealth of experience in legislative strategy, corporate advocacy, and coalition building.

A seasoned Capitol Hill and political veteran, Keenan previously worked for two members of Congress, multiple members of state and local government, and a Presidential race, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor to policymakers and staff. She remains a key strategic voice in Washington, D.C., advising Members of Congress, corporate leaders, and advocacy organizations on navigating complex legislative and regulatory landscapes.

Keenan is widely regarded as a trailblazer in the lobbying industry. She was named Lobbyist of the Year by the Washington Government Relations Group in 2023 and has been recognized as a Top Lobbyist by The Hill every year of her career.

Beyond her leadership at the Alpine Group, Keenan is deeply committed to mentorship and public service. She is a founder and Chair of the Black Women’s Congressional Alliance (BWCA), helping to empower and advance Black women in public policy careers. She also sits on the boards of several prominent organizations, including the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute, GlobalWIN, and So Others May Eat (SOME), where she serves as Vice Chair of the Corporate Advisory Council. Additionally, she holds board positions with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Corporate Advisory Council and the Public Policy Holding Company (PPHC), a publicly traded company.

An influential voice in corporate and political spaces, Keenan is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University, where she received her undergraduate and MBA and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
